Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
The submission has not been previously published and is not currently under consideration by another journal, unless an explanation has been provided to the Editors.
The manuscript file is provided in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) or OpenDocument (.odt) format.
The manuscript complies with the stylistic, bibliographic, ethical, and formatting requirements described in the SJORANM Author Guidelines.
All figures are provided in a suitable publication-quality image format, preferably JPEG, PNG, or TIFF, and are of sufficient resolution for scientific assessment and publication.
Where available, DOIs or other persistent links for references have been provided.
The manuscript has been anonymized in accordance with the SJORANM requirements for double-anonymized peer review where external peer review applies.
Authors' names, affiliations, and other identifying information are provided separately from the anonymized manuscript file.
All listed authors understand that their individual ORCID iDs must be authenticated before the manuscript can enter the peer review process.
A Conflict of Interest statement has been included in the manuscript, including an explicit statement when no relevant conflicts exist.
All sources of financial or material support have been disclosed, or the absence of specific funding has been stated where appropriate.
Where applicable, the manuscript includes information regarding ethics committee or institutional review board approval.
Where required, appropriate informed consent for publication of identifiable patient information, images, or clinical details has been obtained.
All authors have approved the submitted version of the manuscript and agree to its submission to SJORANM.
Research Articles
This section is for original academic research articles. All manuscripts must be submitted through the SJORANM online submission system and undergo double-anonymized external peer review in accordance with the journal's Peer Review Process & Editorial Decision Policy. Submissions must comply with the current Author Guidelines.
Reviews
This section is for academic review articles. All manuscripts must be submitted through the SJORANM online submission system and undergo double-anonymized external peer review in accordance with the journal's Peer Review Process & Editorial Decision Policy . Submissions must comply with the current Author Guidelines .
Case reports
This section is for academic radiological case reports. All manuscripts must be submitted through the SJORANM online submission system and undergo double-anonymized external peer review in accordance with the journal's Peer Review Process & Editorial Decision Policy.
Radiological case reports must additionally comply with the SJORANM Guide to Radiological Case Reports – From an Interesting Patient to a Publishable Paper, which provides a structured 12-step framework for manuscript preparation, scientific assessment, and editorial review.
Authors are strongly encouraged to consult this guide before preparing and submitting their manuscript: SJORANM Guide to Radiological Case Reports.
Submissions must also comply with the current Author Guidelines.
Letters and Communications
This section is for academic letters, scientific correspondence, brief communications, comments, and other concise contributions relevant to the scope of SJORANM.
All submissions must be made through the SJORANM online submission system. Depending on the nature, scientific content, and purpose of the submission, the manuscript may undergo double-anonymized external peer review or may be assessed directly by the editorial team.
The decision whether external peer review is required rests with the Editors and is made in accordance with the journal's Peer Review Process & Editorial Decision Policy .
Submissions must comply with the current Author Guidelines .
Specials
The Specials section is intended for distinctive scientific, educational, methodological, or editorial contributions that do not fit appropriately within the journal's standard article categories.
Contributions may include, among others, practical and educational guides, methodological frameworks, consensus or position papers, invited expert contributions, interdisciplinary perspectives, and other special formats of relevance to radiology, nuclear medicine, imaging sciences, and image-guided medicine.
All submissions are subject to editorial assessment. Depending on the nature, scientific content, and purpose of the contribution, manuscripts may undergo double-anonymized external peer review, specialist review, or direct assessment by the editorial team.
The appropriate evaluation pathway is determined by the Editors in accordance with the journal's Peer Review Process & Editorial Decision Policy .
Publication in the Specials section does not imply exemption from SJORANM's standards for scientific integrity, authorship, conflicts of interest, ethical compliance, transparency, and editorial independence.
Submissions must comply with the current Author Guidelines and, where applicable, with additional article-specific requirements.

Personal information will not be sold or used for unrelated commercial purposes.
