Correction to: Diagnostic Accuracy of 18F-NaF PET/CT versus 99mTc Bone Scintigraphy for Detection of Skeletal Metastases: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

An editorial source audit identified inconsistencies in the original article’s study totals, bibliographic attribution, comparator definitions and quantitative synthesis. The original pooled sensitivity, specificity, diagnostic odds ratios and claims of general superiority could not be substantiated from the documented study set and should not be relied upon.

The article has been revised as “Diagnostic Accuracy of 18F-NaF PET/CT versus 99mTc Bone Scintigraphy for Detection of Skeletal Metastases: A Critical Review of Comparative Evidence”. The revised text presents study-specific estimates with exact confidence intervals and explicitly identifies unresolved source and retrieval limitations. It distinguishes planar scintigraphy, combined protocols, SPECT, SPECT/CT and PET-only interpretations. No replacement pooled estimate is reported. The revised version is not a completed systematic review or meta-analysis.
